Summer project

Before the commencement of my Art and design Foundation year, I was asked to begin recording thigs that were happening at the time. Therefore as a way to start and initiate my ideas I created a brainstorm as a way to outline all of the ways of could physically and mentally respond. As well as ways to respond I wrote down some subject areas I was interested in, including; Fashion, Photography, Fine Art, the capturing of time and more. As you can see below I began to experiment and play with the themes I had thought of above.

One of the thing I responded to was a documentary, called 'Fashions Dirtiest secrets.' In the documentary the themes that were explored included; how the public are so oblivious to the impact of fashion on the environment, Fast fashion and how the desirability of 'new' clothes impacts fast fashion. I was inspired by this and therefore wanted to create something in representation of the impact of fast fashion. In the documentary it talks about hoe fashion is one of the top most polluting industries in the world. Therefore I visually captured this. The process I used was adding ink to water, to create this mass of color that similarly displays these of water pollution, which is linked in with the effects of fashion pollution. After using a canon of images to capture these final shots I wanted to look deaper into my response. Therefore i decided to use a more controlled method of ink bubble blowing.
